October started and all returned to its original lines . Kids are back in school and it’s all back to work after the summer. Since I had my birthday and my new beautiful camera I did not have many chances to go out and shoot with it. But, since we returned from holiday in the middle of August I managed to squeeze two trips out to the Peaks to carry on with my project. Here is a quick download of my post holiday shoots.
Last couple of trip were to the famous Curbar edge and to the forest directly below. I did a few shots, but I don’t think they’re project-worthy. Or maybe one ….
This time, I decided to start at the same location but wanted to go further and explore the trees around the Froggatt edge.
I did a few shots of the stone circle and also a morning shot of the edge which I quite like. Also, those are the first 2 colour shots I did in a while.

I have a feeling that I did not quite finished here , still few spots to scout and shoot. I will back here soon .
Then a couple of weeks later I had a chance to go out with Ebony again . This time, I decided to visit Roaches and Luds Church. Both are famous locations. Of course, I had visited before, but It was a long time since I did 4×5 exposures there.
I started with morning light at the Roach-end barn. It was a mist down in the valley, and I did 2 shots on Black&White FP4 sheet film. Not bad; the only thing which was a bit annoying was that I did not load any colour film. It would be nice, but sometimes it just isn’t coming together as we would like. Then I walked along the ridge to the High Forest. Nice morning walk and I did another couple of shots. Then the main attraction came and I entered Luds Church. Such an amazing place. Naturally, I tried to do some photography here, but I did not manage to get it right . …. I have to try to do it right next time :-).
All in all two great trips. I really enjoyed my time out with my Ebony.

As a bonus here is short 360 video from fabulous Luds Church 🙂 :
