This is a short report from my visit to the Photography and Video show 2026.
The Photography & Video Show is the annual destination for any visual storyteller. It brings kit and creative inspiration together for four days. These days are packed with everything a photographer, videomaker, or content creator could need.
Last year I missed the show because it was in London. This year, with my free entry ticket, I decided to come around and see what’s new in the photography world.. NEC is 1.5 hour drive from Nottingham so I decided to pay expensive parking fee and spend al day surrounded with photography nuts.
I did not have any agenda as I did not want to make any big purchase. Every time I am there I stop at the Disabled photographers society stand. They are great. They sell secondhand photography items. You can find anything if you dig deep in their various stuff. I always go for cable releases. I usually buy all I can find and that will last me for some time. It was a good year, this time I have scored 4 “new” cable releases. Amazing. I love that stand and money they make go to a good cause.
Talks and Stands
I spent most of my time in the Analogue corner. You can find lots of analogue photography vendors, labs, and photographers there. I really enjoyed looking at the Camera Obscura from Brandon Barry. I also visited the Little Vintage photography stand and Ilford, just to name a few. Next stop was at ORWO, l to look at some films they had to offer. When I start photography in 1980s I used ORWO film a lot. I had 2 choices ORWO or Fomapan and I always like ORWO better. Nostalgia get better of me. I bought 5 (expired) rolls of the stuff. Looking ahead to shoot this again.
As you can imagine I also checked all big players during my visit to the Photography and Video show 2026. All crowded and all digital , witch doesn’t do much for me anymore . Maybe I will just mention short check on the new Fuji instax mini Evo Cinema camera. I wanted to hold it and test it. Well its interesting and really something different. Would i buy it ? No, not for me.
Photographers talks is something I always looking forward to. This time I did not go for a big talk. I just stopped at a few small stages to catch some people talking about the photography.
Highlight for me was the talk by one of my favorite British landscape photographer Joe Cornish at the Sigma stand. Great talk, inspirational with amazing shots. Then a bit later, I stopped to listen Charlie Waite with Joe Cornish at Kase stand. Again very inspirational.. Last talk I have attended was one from Colin Prior again on the Sigma stand. I find this part of the show the most exciting , it was really good.

Conclusion – how was Photography and Video show 2026
At the end, I stopped at Ilford again and picked up Developers and Fixer for my darkroom. Exactly what I needed. I really enjoyed the show, mainly the talk parts. It is really great to stop and listen to great photographers. I think there was something for everyone, photographers, travel and content creators, video makers, and printers. All in all, a well-spent day. Next year I’ll be back.
