Printing postcards from the dystopian future

Back in the darkroom. Ohhh, how I missed it. This time, I decided to work on printing postcards on Ilford Multigrade IV RC Portfolio paper.

Recently, I visited an exhibition by a group of local artists showing the world in the future. The exhibition did not look very cheerful. But it was thought-provoking and very interesting. I had my trusting Nikon FE with me, loaded with Ilford HP5+ 400. This exhibition was set up in an old, derelict city house. Gloomy and dark, it was not easy to photograph.,But I tried anyway.

Processed film in Ilford DDX developer, and I was quite pleased with the negative. Slightly underexposed, but I expected that. I did 8 exposures during the exhibition. Some of them were blurry, and I did not like the composition on some of them. At the end, I picked 3 shots which I decided to print in my darkroom.

I used Ilford Multigrade IV RC Portfolio paper with Postcard printing on the back. Luckily, I still have some of it left. Ilford is not producing this paper anymore. I intended to print the postcards really contrasty, and I have to say I am pleased with the results. Printing postcards is something I would like to carry on in the future, until my paper supply runs out.

My collection of dystopian postcards is growing, and I hope I will add a few more in the near future.
